PhD Study
Applied nanotechnologies
The field focuses on theoretical knowledge and practical preparation of nanomaterials in four areas:
- Physical methods for the preparation of nanomaterials
- Chemical methods for the preparation of nanomaterials
- Bionanotechnologies for the preparation of biosensors
- Computational design of nanomaterials
The topics of the doctoral theses will cover the following areas of problems:
- Plasma technologies for preparation of nanomaterials
- Development of nanofibrous materials for medical applications
- Development of nanofibrous materials for health and environmental protection
- Development of nanomaterials for biomedical applications
- Computer modelling for the design of new nanomaterials and processes in nanotechnologies
The study programme benefits from the close cooperation of the faculty with the Association of Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic and participates in joint projects with nanotechnology companies and research institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and abroad. This brings students a range of benefits from internship opportunities and involvement in national and international research projects to job offers in promising fields.
