Congratulations to Dr. Jaroslava Jarolímková
On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, Mgr. Jaroslava Jarolímková successfully defended her doctoral dissertation, completing her doctoral studies in the Applied Nanotechnology programme. Her dissertation, entitled Nanoparticles and Nanostructured Materials for Gas Sorption and Electrochemical Gas Evolution, was supervised by Prof. Ing. Zdeňka Kolská, Ph.D.
Her research focused on the preparation and characterization of nanostructured materials, specifically polyaniline nanoparticles and two-dimensional MoS₂ nanosheets. She investigated how preparation conditions affect their structure and properties and explored their potential applications in gas sorption, electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution, and the preparation of stable aqueous dispersions.
The results showed that the properties of both types of materials can be significantly influenced by controlled preparation. In the case of polyaniline, the synthesis conditions affected its specific surface area, porosity, and sorption properties, while appropriate exfoliation conditions improved the electrocatalytic activity of MoS₂ and enabled the preparation of more stable aqueous dispersions.
Jaroslava Jarolímková’s research resulted in a total of seven publications in scientific journals, which significantly contribute to advancing knowledge of nanostructured materials and their applications in gas sorption, hydrogen evolution, and the preparation of stable colloidal systems.
We congratulate Dr. Jaroslava Jarolímková on successfully completing her doctoral studies and wish her every success in her future professional and personal achievements.
